Stay and Play Sessions

Who are they for:

All parents and carers of under fives and the little ones

Would you like some time to play with your little one and a change of scene? Would you like to get some new ideas about what you can play at home? Then come along to our specially designed play sessions and meet Karen and Michele,who will be leading our Stay and Play sessions at St Piers and Karen and Alison,leading at Surestarters at Blindley Heath

These are free guided play sessions for all parents of under fives.On Monday afternoons from 1.00-3.00 you can come and use the playroom at the Children's Centre or on Thursday mornings from 10.00-12.00, the larger room at the Foreman Institute , Blindley Heath. There will be an organised activity, if you and your children want to take part, or you can just do your own thing! Sessions could include ;

  • messy play themed activities
  • free play
  • active play
  • music
  • art and craft
  • storytelling

There will be time for a drink and a snack and also time for a sing-song or a story at the end. Please bring an apron or wear old clothes as some activities may be messy. You will need to register with the Children's Centre to attend these sessions and to bring your Family Membership Card with you.
